St Dominic Savio Catholic Primary School ‘Serve the Lord with Joy’

Mission Statement

Our Catholic Mission is to ensure the Gospel values are reflected in all aspects of the school’s life, in the classroom and playground and in the relationships between the pupils, the school staff, school governors, parents and the wider community.

"The school is highly inclusive. All feel they belong to the St Dominic Savio family."

(Ofsted, February 2020).

“A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints."

(Pope Benedict XVI, 2010)

We are a caring Catholic community serving the Lord with joy. The greatest commandment is to love God and love one another.

"The school’s religious ethos is deep rooted, with all pupils feeling included within it."

(Ofsted, February 2020)

Our Section 48 Inspection from the Diocese of Portsmouth graded us as 'Outstanding' in all areas. We are immensely proud of this achievement!

We serve three Catholic parish communities: St John Bosco, Our Lady of Peace and St Thomas More.
