We follow an exciting design and technology scheme from 'Kapow' which cover all areas of the National Curriculum. The units of work are split into cooking and nutrition, mechanisms, structures (including digital) and textiles.
Every unit completes the full process of design, make and evaluate.
This is a progressive curriculum which inspires children to be creative and explore the world of design and technology. Our curriculum aims to encourage children to learn responsibility, to develop designs and to be reflective learners by allowing them to evaluate their work.
Our DT lessons provide opportunity for links to the wider curriculum. All children are encouraged to take part and develop their own ideas and skills using a wide variety of materials and tools.
